Our region is closer than you think!

It is situated between Poznań and Wrocław at an important national route making it easily accessible from any part of Poland.In Leszno there are many sports and recreation facilites. Two of the most popular attractions are the „Akwawit” swimming-pool and the sports airfield of the Central Gliding School. Other sports facilities include: tennis courts, a speedway stadium, a bowling alley and a sports hall with a manege suitable for organizing horse-riding lessons or competitions.

There are numerous tourist attractions in the whole region such as: castles, palaces, manor houses, historical churches and windmills. The most outstanding historical buildings are: the townhall and St. Nicholas’ church in Leszno, the castle in Rydzyna, the palace in Pawłowice, the Sanctuary in Gostyń, the Benedictine monastery complex in Lubiń and the windmill in Rydzyna.

The countryside around Leszno offers excellent conditions for relaxation in the countryside. Two scenic parks, several nature reserves and educational trails are some of the numerous attractions. The Przemęt Scenic Park is famous for its nature reserve known as the “Lily of the Valley Island”. Bird watchers can observe over 250 species of birds in the “Wonieść Reservoir”. The Leszno region is also an excellent place to practise water sports such as canoeing, sailing, windsurfing and angling thanks to its numerous postglacial lakes connected by channels or canals. Holiday resorts built around the lakes offer convenient accommodation and very good conditions to relax and have fun.

Leszno and the region are famous for cycling thanks to bicycle paths. Cycling trails have been marked leading through the most beautiful areas in the Leszno county. One of the biggest assets of the region are stud farms which offer horse-riding holidays, chaise rides and horse rides. Vast areas of woods and meadows and forest trails and wilderness offer excellent conditions for horse-riding holidays.

Exhausted city dwellers can escape from the hustle and bustle and relax in peace and quiet in one of the hospitable villages around Leszno.Everybody will find something unique and special here!
