Journey
Leszno is located in the west part of the Wielkopolskie Province, between large economic centres, i.e. Poznan and Wroclaw.
Convenient access to Leszno by car is ensured by National Road No. 5 (north-south), which connects the coast with Czech Republic; as well as National Road, No. 12 (west-east) joining the towns of Glogow and Jarocin. Both routes intersect in Leszno.
Leszno is also an important railway hub providing regular connections to Poznan, Wroclaw and Warsaw. This makes it easy to quickly get here from the capital city as well as from Poznan and Wroclaw. More information about the above, can be found in the railway timetable.
There is an airport with a grass runway, which allows sport aircraft to land and take off. The owner, AP Central Gliding School has applied to include the airport in Leszno for international traffic. The nearest airports are located 70 km away in Poznan (Poznan Airport) and 100 km away in Wroclaw (Wroclaw Airport) from which you can access Leszno by train or car.
